Writing this from halfway across the world in the early morning, it’s incredible to think about how our little project has grown. What started as two friends wanting to share honest food recommendations has blossomed into a real community. We see you in the comments, we read your DMs, and we’re so grateful for every person who has joined us on this journey.
As this community has grown, we’ve realized we need someone whose main focus is just that: you.
Today, we are thrilled to introduce you to the fourth and final pillar of our team, a lifelong friend and a true Busan local, Jaejin.
If you grew up in Busan, you know a “Jaejin.” He’s the guy who knows everyone. He’s the friend you call when you need to find a K-BBQ spot that can fit ten people on a Friday night, and he’ll know not just the place, but probably the owner, too. He’s a social connector, a natural planner, and the most organized person we know. He’s one of us.
In fact, Jaejin has been a part of Busan Bites from the very beginning, working behind the scenes. He was the one helping us schedule shoots, figure out logistics, and giving us tips on places we had overlooked. We’ve always joked that he was our unofficial “Minister of Operations.” Now, we’re making it official.
As our Community Manager, Jaejin will be the heart of our connection with you. He’ll be the person behind our social media, responding to your questions, and gathering your feedback. But most excitingly, he’s the one who will help us take Busan Bites from a digital page into the real world. Think future meetups, curated food tours, and Q&A sessions with the chefs and owners we feature. He is here to turn our shared passion into shared experiences.
We brought Jaejin on board because Busan Bites was never just about posting reviews. It was about building a trusted circle of friends who love authentic food. While we and Michael focus on finding the spots and telling their stories, Jaejin’s mission is to connect all of us together.
So when you see a reply from us in the comments or get a thoughtful response to a DM, know that it’s likely from Jaejin. Please give him the warmest welcome—we are so excited for this next chapter and for all the ways we’ll get to connect with you.
